Name tag holders are typically used with name tag lanyards to hold a cardboard name badge for trade shows or conventions. These name tags can be printed by most companies on their own printers and can significantly reduce the cost of providing identification for participants.

Like most other things there are varying levels of quality and cost for different name tag holders. The cheapest name tags are the ones that can be purchased in bulk and simply run through your own printer.
