Earth-friendly neck lanyards have caught on in the last few years as a “Go Green” movement has swept thecountry and world. The lanyards are considered earth-friendly because they are either made of natural materials that easily break-down when placed in a landfill or else they are manufactured from recycled materials.
Neck lanyards are typically used as a promotional item and a give-away to customers or prospective customers. They have a company logo or name printed on them and they represent your company in that sense. “Green” lanyards are a way to show, throught a give away that you area responsible company, concerned with the environment.
Bamboo is one of the common natural earth-friendly materials used to produce neck lanyards. Bamboo grows very fast and is plentiful in many regions of the world. There different varieties and some are used a food, some as building material and other is processed into fiber used in making fabric.
The other material currently being used for “green” neck lanyards is recycled P.E.T. from plastic bottles, 2-liter soda bottles and just about any plastic that is coded with the resin identification code number "1" inside the universal recycling symbol, usually located on the bottom of the container.These recycled bottles are a great to reduce the amount of plastic being discarded every year and fairly competitive in price with newly manufactured plastic.
